In our final practice, we’ll guide you through a loving-kindness meditation that begins with yourself and then extends out to others—friends, strangers, and even those you may disagree with. We’ll work on cultivating feelings of goodwill and compassion, softening any resentment or tension that might linger. We invite you to direct kindness inward, then to let it flow toward others, until we are holding all beings in a sense of unconditional compassion. This practice encourages you to embrace a universal sense of love and empathy, opening your heart to everyone, even those who may challenge you.
As part of the “Election Sanity Saver” series, this loving-kindness practice brings the journey to a place of compassion that knows no boundaries. This series is designed to help you stay grounded and engaged without losing your peace, giving you tools to meet the world with resilience, connection, and empathy. Each session has led us here, where we can end with a heart that holds space for all, ready to engage with the world from a place of kindness and clarity, no matter the outcome of the election.
